Overleese is a very good pawpaw that ripens fairly early and has a sweet, vanilla/banana taste. It's also one of the most precocious pawpaws I've grown and begins to fruit at a younger age than many others. But the proof is in the pudding, as they say, and Overleese has been a staple for backyard growers since W. B Ward collected it from the wild in 1950.
